Begin the day focused on those things that are positive in your life.

It can be easy to get caught up in all the negatives in the world and in our own lives.

While those things are true, simultaneously, there are also many uplifting and positive things happening at every moment.

Begin to rewire your brain for the many blessings in your life, as simple as they may be.

When you notice yourself focused on what’s wrong or negative, start by pausing and taking a breath.

Give yourself the space to acknowledge what’s happening in this moment and choose to acknowledge with gratitude or appreciation someone or something.

This self care practice ultimately shifts how you think and feel moment to moment, and show up in the world for yourself and everyone around you.

Think of a time when you weren’t in the best of moods but interacted with someone who totally changed your day.

Expressing appreciation and gratitude directly to someone else can be part of this practice.

To whom can you express gratitude today? Call, text, email or even send a handwritten note. You’ll feel great doing it and it will certainly brighten the recipient’s day.
